Description

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to an infection injures its own tissues and organs. Sepsis is a leading cause of death and healthcare spending globally. Skilled Nursing Providers are a critical link to preventing, recognizing, and treating sepsis. This training will cover the following:

  • Skilled Nursing Facility providers treat and care for populations most vulnerable to sepsis.
  • Early identification of sepsis in the SNF care setting will promote rapid treatment response either in house or referral to the next level of care.
  • Targeting sepsis as a public health concern, addresses major factors affecting: Quality of healthcare, potentially avoidable hospitalizations, and cost.

Administrators, Executive Directors, Nursing Staff, Rehabilitation Professionals and other Interdisciplinary Team Members.

1.5 CEUs is available for ALAs and LNHAs.
