Description Sexuality remains a core part of identity and human connection across the lifespan, including for individuals living with dementia. This presentation explores the complex and often misunderstood topic of dementia and sexuality. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how cognitive decline impacts sexual expression, the importance of recognizing intimacy as a basic human right, and how to navigate consent, boundaries, and safety within care environments. This session will equip caregivers and professionals with the knowledge and tools to respond to sexual behavior in dementia with sensitivity, dignity, and respect.
